    Collagen French Toast

Collagen French Toast. Delicious, healthy and you can't even taste the slightest hint of collagen! Great as a nutritional breakfast! This recipe only takes 10 minutes to make!

Your classic french toast with a healthy twist to it! This recipe is great for mixing in collagen without being able to taste it. So if your skin is lacking that plump glow or your joints creak, then this is the recipe for you!

This recipe is very easy to make and sounds complex but I swear to you it is not. You also cannot taste the collagen either! The worst is when you can taste collagen and let me tell you, it does not taste nice. Once I mixed it into my water and almost spat the whole mouthful out (not lady like at all).

I also topped off my delicious french toast with strawberries and maple syrup as well as some avocado for some healthy fat.

    What is collagen?

Collagen is such an important nutrient. It is the building blocks to healthy skin, bones, nails and hair! I learned this in my nutrition class. Without it, we really do age a lot faster in terms of our appearance.

Collagen can be acquired from bone broths or in powder form. For this recipe, I used the powder form version by Organika (marine collagen). All you do is mix a heaping tablespoon into 1 organic egg. If you’re making multiple french toasts, then you’ll need 1 heaping tablespoon per egg.

    For this recipe

    You'll need the following ingredients:

    • 2 slices of wholewheat bread
    • 1 organic egg
    • 2 tablespoon powdered marine collagen
    • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
    • Toppings: Organic maple syrup, Fresh berries, Vegan icing sugar

    Pin this for future!

    On a Personal Note

Happy New Year! Hope you all rung in 2019 with a sense of peace and happiness. This year and like many other years, I don’t make resolutions. I feel like when I do and if i don’t fulfill them, it feels like a broken promise to myself only ending up in disappointment.

So instead I try to create intentions and they’re secret intentions, that way there’s no disappointment because there is no expectation. It’s just an intention. And because they’re confidential to myself, then the pressure to remain accountable to that intention is off.

You may be asking what is an intention versus a resolution. Well an intention is something you intend to do but there’s no expectation for it to be resolved like a resolution. For instance, one of my intentions could be: being fine with imperfection.

A resolution on the other hand would be: I am going to be 10 lbs lighter and never eat chips. The latter could end up in disappointment if you don’t meet your goal of losing 10 lbs by the end of the year or sneak in a bag of chips (btw, what is so wrong with that anyway I freaking love chips).

So what is your secret intention(s) for 2019? You don’t have to share them with me but if you want to, I would love to hear them in the comments section.

    Give it a try!

Well I hope you give my Collagen French Toast recipe a try! It always excites me when you guys make my recipes and I hope this is one you try.
