    Earl Grey Bubble Tea

Earl Grey Bubble Tea. A delicious, easy to make Boba milk tea with the elegant taste of bergamot tea leaves. A perfect beverage that can be served warm or cold. This recipe has the option to be vegan or dairy-free.

I love bubble tea or boba tea. I could literally have it every single week and not be sick of it. The texture of the chewy bobas with that sweet milky tea is just a delicious pairing.

    Earl Grey Bubble Tea

My version of this earl grey milk bubble tea is also elevated with condensed milk! If you've not tried adding condensed milk to your milk tea then OMG what are you waiting for! It's incredible.

If you're vegan or dairy-free, there is a condensed coconut milk version that can be bought online or at certain grocery stores and it tastes just as delicious.

Usually earl grey bubble milk tea costs about $7 per cup (regular size mind you) which is kind of nuts when I think about it because it doesn't last long either! Not to mention it always comes in a non-recyclable plastic cup which always makes me feel bad for the environment.

So I am thrilled to share a homemade earl grey bubble tea that costs much less than $7 and saves you a trip to the bubble tea shop and helps cut down on plastic waste!

    ½ cup bobas, boiled
2 tablespoon maple syrup or brown sugar
    1 liter of boiling water

How to make earl grey bubble tea

In a small pot with 1 liter of water, bring it to a boil. Add your bobas and boil according to packet instructions. (If your bobas did not come with packet instructions, I boiled mine for 25 minutes over medium heat uncovered. Then allowing it to rest off heat for 20 minutes, covered).

Rinse your cooked bobas in cold running water. Strain and transfer to a small bowl. Flavour your bobas with maple syrup or brown sugar. Set aside.
