    Egg in a Hole with Garlic Toast

    Egg in a Hole with Garlic Toast. Garlic toasted bread with a fried egg in the middle of it adorned with avocado. A delicious snack or breakfast.

    This egg in a hole toast recipe is easy to make and takes less than 10 minutes and 5 ingredients! With a recipe this easy, there's no excuse not to have breakfast!

    All you need for this egg in the hole toast is your favourite bread (thicker the better), an egg, dairy-free butter, garlic powder, and avocado.

    It's great for breakfast, a light lunch or even as a snack if you're super hungry and so satisfying!

    For this recipe

    You will need the following ingredients for this fried egg in a hole in toast:

    Ingredients

    • 1 slice thick bread
    • 1 free-range egg
    • dairy-free butter
    • Sprinkle of garlic powder
    • ½ avocado, peeled and sliced

    Equipment

    • Non-stick pan
    • Circular Drinking Glass or circular cookie cutter

    How to make egg in a hole toast

    1. Rest your bread on a flat surface. Use a round drinking glass or cookie cutter to create a hole in your bread.
    2. Spread butter on your toast and the circular cutout and sprinkle some garlic powder on both sides. Then lay both pieces in a hot pan set on medium heat. Toast that side until golden brown.
    3. Then flip your toast over and crack an egg into the hole. Allow the egg to fill the hole and fry until toast is golden brown and egg is cooked through. Feel free to use a lid to speed up the cooking time.
    4. Serve with some avocado over top. Enjoy!
