The weather is getting hot hot hot! So I decided to come up with a cooling but delicious smoothie recipe that also provide a crap load of fiber (pun intended….)
This Fruit Medley Oat Smoothie contains rolled oats, flax seeds, banana, almond milk and frozen Fruit Medley by Europe’s Best. Their frozen fruit packages come in handy when my husband and I are short for time and need frozen fruits ASAP. Usually I will freeze my own organic fruit in those black and clear takeaway containers that restaurants give out and I can’t bear to throw out. (Did you know that some recycling facilities are unable to recycle black plastic? Which begs the question of why these companies can’t just make 100% clear takeaway containers? My guess comes down to cost-cutting reasons over prioritizing the environment. So if you can find any use for them, please do!) This Fruit Medley mix contains honey dew, grape, strawberry, apple, and pineapple and can be found at most Canadian grocers.
Well I hope you give this recipe a shot. If you enjoy it, please share it with your family and friends.
