    Popcorn Cauliflower & Garlic Aioli

    Popcorn Cauliflower & Garlic Aioli. Crispy on the outside, soft and flavourful cauliflower on the inside with a creamy garlicky dip! The perfect vegetarian appetizer.

    They are crispy, delicious and vegetarian. They pair so well with my husband's Garlic Aioli dip that he makes. Great as a snack or to serve at a party, these will be the star appetizer of the night.

    Popcorn Cauliflower

    This popcorn cauliflower recipe is a great way to go meatless some days if you pair it with a plant-based protein, carb and a healthy fat! 

    Now I know there are many popcorn cauliflower recipes online but this one is simple and so delicious! Your whole house is going to smell divine thanks to the amazing seasoning! So I hope you give it a try. I also share other recipes like this below so don't forget to check them out.

    Where did this recipe come from?

    My easy popcorn cauliflower actually originates from my sweet husband. I woke up one Sunday morning to this amazing smell in the house and he was baking Popcorn Cauliflower.  It was one of those moments when I felt very lucky to be his wife. Alright I won't bore you our relationship...let's get into the recipe!

    For this recipe

    You will need the following ingredients for my homemade popcorn cauliflower:

    1 head of organic Cauliflower broken into bite size pieces
    One cup of All Purpose Flour
    1 cup water
    1 organic egg
    2 teaspoons paprika
    1 teaspoons garlic salt
    2 teaspoons onion powder
    1 teaspoon salt
    ½ teaspoon pepper
    1 ½ cup of Corn Flake Crumbs (I used Kellogg's Corn Flake Crumbs)
    ½ teaspoon lime juice
    ½ teaspoon lemon juice
    Olive Oil

    GARLIC AIOLI DIP:
    Adapted from my husband

    ½ cup of organic Mayonnaise
    1 teaspoon of Paprika
    5 garlic cloves finely minced
    ½ teaspoon of Lime Juice
    ½ teaspoon of Lemon Juice
    ⅛ teaspoon of Pepper

    How to make Popcorn Cauliflower

    Popcorn Cauliflower:

    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
    2. On a baking sheet with parchment paper, coat it evenly with Olive Oil
    3. In a bowl, pour flour, water, garlic salt, onion powder, paprika and egg. Mix well to create Wet Mixture
    4. In another bowl, mix corn flake crumbs, salt and pepper to create your Dry Mixture
    5. Dunk cauliflower pieces into Wet Mixture first to coat. Then dunk pieces into Dry Mixture until well covered
    6. Transfer coated pieces to baking sheet and disperse them
    7. Bake for 16 minutes on top tray of oven
    8. Remove from oven and squeeze lime and lemon over the popcorn cauliflower
    9. Serve with your dip

    Garlic Aioli Dip:

    1. Prepare ingredients as listed above
    2. Mix together mayonnaise, lime and lemon juice, garlic, paprika and pepper

    Ingredients
      

    Popcorn Cauliflower

    • 1 head Cauliflower broken into bite size pieces
    • 1 cup all purpose flour
    • 1 cup water
    • 1 Egg

    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • ½ teaspoon black pepper
    • 1 ½ cup bread crumbs
    • ½ teaspoon Lime Juice
    • ½ teaspoon Lemon Juice
    • extra virgin olive oil

    Garlic Aioli Dip

    • ½ cup Mayonnaise
    • 1 teaspoon Paprika
    • 5 cloves garlic minced
    • ½ teaspoon lime juice
    • ½ teaspoon Lemon Juice
    • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

    Instructions
     

    Popcorn Cauliflower

    • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
