Turkey Bolognese Pasta Recipe

1 lb organic ground turkey
500 grams dried tagliatelle pasta
3-4 cups good quality marinara sauce
2 organic carrots, peeled and finely chopped
2 organic celery stalked, finely chopped
1 organic onion, finely diced
1 tbsp garlic, minced
1/3 cup fresh basil, chopped
1 tbsp organic extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup reserved hot pasta water
Salt to taste
Boil pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1/4 cup of hot pasta water. Strain pasta and set aside.
In the same pot set over medium heat, sauteed onions and garlic in olive oil until fragrant. Then add chopped carrots and celery. Sauteed until soft.
Add ground turkey and break it up with your cooking utensil. Cook until no longer pink. Stir in marinara sauce, followed by basil and reserved pasta water. Cover with a lid and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
Toss in cooked pasta until noodles are evenly coated in sauce. Season with salt to taste. Enjoy!
