In a small pot over high heat, whisk your cane sugar and hot boiling water together until the sugar has dissolved and the liquid has reduced and thickened. Remove off heat. This will be your simple syrup. You will have leftovers for later.
Sift matcha powder into 3 tablespoon of hot boiling water. Whisk well.
In a tall glass, pour as much syrup as desired, followed by ice and milk. Top off with matcha mixture. Mix it well. Enjoy!
