Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk or plant-based milk of choice
  • 3-4 ice cubes optional

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together your matcha layer ingredients until frothy. Set aside.
  • In a small pot on medium heat, add diced strawberries, white granulated sugar and sauté until the juices from the berries release, about 2-3 minutes. Break down your strawberries with a wooden spoon or use an immersion blender. Allow this to cool down completely.
  • Then in a large tall glass, pour in the strawberry liquid in. Optional: If you want ice, add it after you've added the strawberry layer but please note: the ice cubes will break up the layers if you're keen on presentation so you have the option to add the ice cubes after mixing the beverage.
  • Then over the back of the spoon, slowly pour your milk over the strawberry layer. By doing this, you won't break up the strawberry layer.
  • Then pour your matcha liquid over the back of the spoon as well. Mix and enjoy!
