Ingredients

  • 1.10 lb smoked tofu sliced ¼ inch thick (or sub with extra-firm tofu as a last resort)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil for pan frying tofu

Tofu Marinade:

Instructions

  • Slice smoked tofu into ¼-inch thin strips and pat dry with clean paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  • In a resealable container, whisk together tofu marinade ingredients. Add sliced tofu and allow this to marinade for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.
  • Heat olive oil in a large pan on medium heat. Pan fry tofu until golden brown on each side, approximately 5-7 minutes each side. To reuse the leftover marinade, pour it into the pan after you've cooked the tofu and bring it to a simmer and pour it over the cooked tofu.
  • Serve hot with your favorite fixings like Greek rice, Greek potatoes, salad and/or tahini dressing.
