Crispy Curry Fried Fish (30-min. Recipe)

Curry Fried Fish. Crispy lightly battered cod seasoned in a dry curry, turmeric, ginger, and garlic. A savoury and delicious way to have fish and great as a main for dinner. Ready in 30 minutes.

Fish Batter:


  • Slice your fish into bite size pieces. Pat very dry with a paper towel.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add your fish along with fish marinade ingredients. Mix well until each piece is well coated.
  • Prepare the rest of your ingredients.
  • In a large non-stick pan or wok set over medium heat, add ⅓ cup avocado oil. Carefully add your battered fish and fry on each side until golden crispy brown, about 7-8 minutes. Transfer fish to a cooling rack.
  • Discard the leftover oil and in the oiled pan set over medium heat, add remaining garlic, ginger, green onions, sugar, salt, pepper, and curry powder. Mix and fry for 20 seconds.
  • Add fish back into the pan followed by Chinese cooking wine. Mix everything together. Serve immediately and enjoy!
