It’s become a sensation all around the world through social media apps like TikTok and I’m going to show you how to make ramen with mayonnaise.
1pack instant ramen noodlesuse any brand of choice that has a soup base (I used the brand Jin Ramen)
1packinstant ramen soup base(that came with the instant noodles)
1tablespoonJapanese mayoaka Kewpie Mayo (or sub with normal mayo)
1egg
1teaspoongarlicminced or grated
2.25cupswater(or go with the amount specified on the instant ramen soup directions)
1tablespoonscallionsfinely sliced (optional)
Instructions
In a serving bowl, combine minced garlic, kewpie mayo, raw egg and the instant ramen soup base. Mix well.
Then in a pot, add suggested amount of water (or refer to the amount specified on the instant ramen packet if the packet calls for less), bring to a boil. Add instant ramen noodles and boil for 2 minutes or until al dente.
Very slowly pour half of the piping hot ramen water into your serving bowl with the mayo egg mixture while mixing it. This process of tempering the eggs is a key step. If you pour it in all at once, it'll cook the eggs.
Then pour the rest of the ramen water and the ramen noodles. Mix until the ramen and broth together and enjoy! Garnish with scallions, optional.
