Ready in 5 minutes.  It’s become a sensation all around the world through social media apps like TikTok and I’m going to show you how to make ramen with mayonnaise.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 1 pack instant ramen noodles use any brand of choice that has a soup base (I used the brand Jin Ramen)
  • 1 pack instant ramen soup base (that came with the instant noodles)
  • 1 tablespoon Japanese mayo aka Kewpie Mayo (or sub with normal mayo)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced or grated
  • 2.25 cups water (or go with the amount specified on the instant ramen soup directions)
  • 1 tablespoon scallions finely sliced (optional)

Instructions
 

  • In a serving bowl, combine minced garlic, kewpie mayo, raw egg and the instant ramen soup base. Mix well.
  • Then in a pot, add suggested amount of water (or refer to the amount specified on the instant ramen packet if the packet calls for less), bring to a boil. Add instant ramen noodles and boil for 2 minutes or until al dente.
  • Very slowly pour half of the piping hot ramen water into your serving bowl with the mayo egg mixture while mixing it. This process of tempering the eggs is a key step. If you pour it in all at once, it'll cook the eggs.
  • Then pour the rest of the ramen water and the ramen noodles. Mix until the ramen and broth together and enjoy! Garnish with scallions, optional.
