Grilled Cheese with Onion Jam (10-min)
Grilled Cheese with Onion Jam. This will probably be the best grilled cheese sandwich you have ever tasted! It is elevated in taste thanks to the simple strawberry jam and addition of green onions. It is not an Asian recipe but it was so good that I had to share this recipe on my blog so you can all try it out! Quick to make in under 10 minutes and great for lunch or a light dinner.
2 slices bread 2 slices white cheese Havarti recommended 1 tbsp butter 1 tbsp strawberry jam 1 tbsp green onion finely chopped
Spread jam on one piece of your bread.
Heat your skillet over low-medium heat. Once it is hot, melt butter over it and spread it all over your pan.
Place the bread into the pan, jam side up for the single slice with it. Move the bread around so it soaks up the butter and is evenly coated in it.
Place two slices of white Havarti cheese on the other slice of bread without jam. Sprinkle finely chopped green onions on top of cheese. Let the cheese melt.
Once the bread is toasted and cheese has melted, sandwich both pieces together. Press down firmly with a spatula.
Transfer to a plate, slice in half and enjoy!
