Asian Sesame Smashed Potatoes

Asian Sesame Smashed Potatoes. Baby potatoes boiled and basted in a soy maple, sesame glaze and topped off with green onions and sesame seeds. It's a perfect side dish.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups baby potatoes with skin on
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 stalk green onion finely chopped
  • Sesame seeds for sprinkling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, maple syrup, and sesame oil.
  • Boil potatoes for 15 minute until fork tender. Flatten potatoes with a masher or the back of a measuring cup.
  • Baste with soy sauce mixture using a brush. Sprinkle green onions on top. Bake for 10 minutes. Baste again.
  • Bake for another 10 minutes and sprinkle sesame seeds. Enjoy.
