Sweet and Sticky Tofu (30-min. Recipe)

Sweet and Sticky Tofu. A delicious, sweet, sticky tofu dish with a slight crunch. It's easy to make and a great side dish to any meal.

  • 454 grams Extra Firm Tofu sliced into bite size pieces
  • 4 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 3 tbsp avocado oil


  • Slice your tofu into long bite size pieces. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • In a small bowl, mix together only 3 tbsp of cornstarch (reserving 1 tbsp for later) and salt.
  • Coat your tofu pieces in the cornstarch mixture. This will make the tofu more crispy.
  • In another bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, ketchup, honey, water and 1 tbsp cornstarch until well combined. Set aside.
  • Then in a non-stick pan set over medium high heat, add avocado oil. Pan fry your tofu until golden crispy brown on all sides, about 10-15 minutes.
  • Lower your heat to low setting. Then pour in your sauce and gently mix in with the tofu. Once each tofu piece is covered in sauce, serve immediately. Enjoy!
