14 oz green beans hard ends trimmed (if you're using frozen green beans, skip this) 6-8 cloves garlic minced 1 tablespoon butter unsalted 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or any neutral oil ½ teaspoon red chili flakes optional 3 tablespoon water to help cook green beans ¼ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon sesame oil
Wash and trim the pointy hard ends of green beans. Optional: feel free to chop them into smaller segments.
In a wok or large pan on medium heat, melt butter and add vegetable oil to prevent the butter from burning.
Once butter has melted, add minced garlic and fry for 10 seconds. Then stir in red chili flakes for 5 seconds.
Toss in green beans. Once tossed, add water.
Cover and let this cook for 6-8 minutes for desired texture (6 minutes for crisp beans and 8 minutes for softer beans). Toss occasionally.
Season with sesame oil and salt. Enjoy!
