Asian Breaded Tofu Nuggets. Crispy panko breaded tofu bites that are so delicious, easy to make and serve as a great vegetarian side dish. This simple dish comes together in 30 mins or less! It pairs deliciously with some katsu sauce

Katsu Sauce


  • Slice your tofu into cubes. Pat dry each piece on both sides with paper towel. This is important or your coating will fall off.
  • Season tofu cubes with a sprinkle of salt and garlic powder on both sides.
  • Coat tofu cubes into corn starch, then whisked egg, and lastly panko breadcrumbs. Make sure to coat all sides.
  • In a pan set over medium heat, add oil. Allow this to heat up. To test if it’s hot enough, place a wooden chopstick into the oil and if bubbles form then it’s ready for frying.
  • Fry on each side until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Enjoy with Tonkatsu sauce
