Christie Lai
A milky ice cold beverage with pandan jelly and a sweet brown syrup. This quick and easy brown sugar pandan jelly milk is ready in 10 minutes with simple ingredients. Great for dessert and it's non-caffeinated. I also share how to make this dairy-free if you refer to the Ingredient substitutes below.

Ingredients

  • 19 oz canned pandan flavoured grass jelly or sub with plain grass jelly
  • 4 cups milk or plain oat milk, almond milk or soy milk
  • ½ cup brown sugar light or dark brown sugar both work
  • ½ cup water cold
  • 16 ice cubes

Instructions

  • Open the canned grass jelly with a can opener and carefully pop the jelly out onto a cutting board. Dice the pandan jelly into 0.5-inch cubes.
  • In a small saucepan, add brown sugar and whisk in the cold water. Bring this is a boil on medium-high heat and reduce to low heat to reduce and thicken into a thick syrup. The syrup will be ready when it can coat the back of a spoon.
  • Prepare four tall drink glasses and add 4 ice cubes into each one.
  • Spoon about ¼ cup pandan jelly cubes into each glass.
  • Then pour 1 tablespoon of the syrup along the wall of each drink glass with a spoon.
  • Pour 1 cup milk into glass glass. Mix and enjoy cold!
