A sweet and milky jello-like pudding with a jiggly texture packed with earl grey tea flavors! This easy and simple earl grey milk tea pudding is made with minimal ingredients and great for dessert. I also share how to make this dairy-free with substitutes below in the Ingredients section.
First in a small pot, add milk, earl grey tea bag and sweetened condensed milk. Bring to a simmer on medium heat, then reduce to low heat, cover and steep for 1 minute until the milk turns brown. If needed, strain the milk tea through a tea strainer to remove any escape tea leaves. Return the liquid to the pot and give it a mix.
Then whisk in agar agar powder and bring to liquid to a boil for 60 seconds to activate the powder. Remove off heat.
Next quickly pour the hot liquid into one small bowl or mold.
Refrigerate overnight or at least 3-4 hours until the pudding has set. Serve cold with fresh fruit and enjoy!
