Brown Sugar Boba Matcha Latte

Brown Sugar Boba Matcha Latte. An iced matcha latte flavoured with a delicious brown sugar syrup with chewy bouncy bobas. The perfect dessert drink to have when you're craving matcha! This recipe is also dairy-free.

Ingredients
  

  • cup bobas
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tsp matcha powder
  • ½ cup hot boiling water
  • ¼ cup oat milk or milk or choice
  • Ice as much as needed

Instructions
 

  • In a small pot filled with water, bring it to a boil. Add your bobas in and boil according to packet instructions. Stir immediately to prevent the bobas from sticking and make sure to stir every now and then. *If your packet is missing instructions, mine advised that I boil the bobas for 25 minutes uncovered over medium flame. Then turn off the heat and allow the bobas to sit in the pot of water for another 20 minutes, covered.
  • Strain and rinse off with cold water to retain bounciness of bobas.

  • In another small pot, add brown sugar and ¼ cup water. Bring this to a boil and let this simmer over medium heat until it becomes a very thick syrup. Set aside and keep warm.
  • In large measuring cup, whisk together your matcha powder and ½ cup of hot boiling water.

  • To assemble your drink, spoon your bobas into the base of the glass.

  • Drizzle the brown sugar syrup along the walls of the glass.

  • Fill your glass with ice, as much as desired.

  • Pour your matcha tea into the glass. Followed by oat milk.

  • Stir and enjoy your brown sugar latte bubble tea!
