3-ingredient Dumpling Dipping Sauce. This is the easiest dumpling dipping sauce you'll ever make and it's so delicious with those crispy potstickers! It takes less than 2 minutes to make!
My easy dumpling dipping sauce recipe contains light soy sauce, Chinkiang Vinegar and sesame oil! That's it.
You can always fancy it up by making your dipping sauce spicy with some chilli oil, scallions, or sesame seeds too!

Growing up, I would just pair my dumplings with some soy sauce and call it a day but I always felt like my dumpling sauce was missing something! It was missing vinegar and sesame oil.
For this dumpling dip recipe, there's a specific type of Asian vinegar I would highly recommend using which is designed for dumplings. It's called Chinkiang Vinegar and it comes in this yellow bottle.

What does Chinkiang Vinegar taste like?
It tastes like a toned down version of vinegar. It's made of water, glutinous rice, wheat bran, sugar and salt. That's it!
What if I can't find Chinkiang Vinegar?
If you can't locate this particular vinegar for your Asian dumpling dip, I would recommend using half the portion of vinegar specified for this recipe or your dipping sauce may be too sour.
This vinegar is usually sold at Chinese grocers. You may be able to find it online on amazon as below but it's much most cost effective to find it at the store.

What a great dumpling dipping sauce! In the past, I've dipped dumplings in spicy mustard, but this sauce looks so tasty. Thanks for sharing this!

I love your homemade sauce, it's so much easier to make a sauce when it only requires 3 ingredients! And... I had never heard of Chinkiang Vinegar before, it sounds really really good! 😋
