You will need the following ingredients for this grilled cheese with onion jam:
- White bread
- Strawberry jam
- White cheese, Havarti recommended
- Butter
- Green onion
How to make Grilled Cheese with Jam and Onion
- Spread jam on one piece of your bread.
- Heat your skillet over low-medium heat. Once it is hot, melt butter over it and spread it all over your pan.
- Place the bread into the pan, jam side up for the single slice with it. Move the bread around so it soaks up the butter and is evenly coated in it.
- Place two slices of white Havarti cheese on the other slice of bread without jam. Sprinkle finely chopped green onions on top of cheese. Let the cheese melt.
- Once the bread is toasted and cheese has melted, sandwich both pieces together. Press down firmly with a spatula.
- Transfer to a plate, slice in half and enjoy!
