Chinese Mango Pudding. Delicious, creamy, vegan, and naturally sweet. A popular Asian dessert that is refreshing and addictive! It only requires 4 ingredients!
This is by far my FAVOURITE Chinese dessert. I always get it after Dim Sum and I love eating it with evaporated milk for extra creaminess.
My version is healthier as it does not contain so much sugar like the ones in the restaurant. In fact, there is no added sugar in this dessert.
This is is also a Chinese mango pudding recipe without gelatin as it’s made with agar agar powder.
Usually the restaurants will add a lot of refined sugar to make this sweeter but I honestly think the mango does a pretty good job at sweetening this dessert. You may add some sugar to this dessert if you have a major sweet tooth (I would suggest maybe 1 – 2 tbsps added to your agar agar mixture).

Chinese Mango Pudding
- 1 cup purée mango
- 1 cup vegan evaporated coconut milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 1/8 tsp agar agar powder
- In a blender, add your chopped mango and vegan evaporated milk. Blend until smooth.
- In a small pot, whisk together your water and agar agar powder. Bring to a rolling boil. Turn off the heat.
- Stir in your mango puree until well combined.
- Then pour your mango pudding into a mould or cup. Chill in the fridge for 2 hours until set. Enjoy with evaporated milk!
