Watermelon Milk. A refreshing, sweet milk naturally flavored with fresh watermelon! It's simply made in 3 ingredients and in 5 minutes.
What is Watermelon Milk?
Watermelon milk is made of milk, fresh watermelon and a liquid sweetener of your choice like maple syrup or honey. Great on a hot summer day when you want to cool down. It's one of my favourite fruit drinks to have when I want something sweet.
It's a beverage that is sold in Korean, Japanese or Taiwan and it's popular among kids and adults for it's sweet milky taste. You can find this refreshing drink sold at many Asian grocery stores in tetra packs.
My simple recipe is delicious and not too sweet! It's perfect as long as you use a sweet ripened watermelon. If you don't, it may not be as sweet and you may need to rely on the maple syrup to make it sweeter. I also recommend not using dairy-milk as it can easily curdle from this particular fruit. Use a plant-based milk instead.
Ingredients
Please scroll down to below recipe card for exact measurements.
- Fresh Seedless Ripe Watermelon
- Non-dairy milk: oat milk, almond milk or any flavorless nut milk can work. I would strongly advise not using dairy milk as it curdles with the watermelon juice
- Maple Syrup: or honey
